Sitting here thinking . When I was young there were fears .Or maybe what ifs. Like what if someone went off the deep end and started killing people in a public place . Now ,that what if has become a reality. What if we couldn't explore places without being on alert. Now reality daily. What if I became more important then we . Now reality with the life we lead. What if our children were not able to play freely .Now reality. What if machines took the place of people ,now reality .What if friends were replaced with just pics,now reality. What if a fence was built between groups of people and there was no in between to learn about the other side . Now reality . What if it became normal to buy a phone not to talk but to type. Now reality. What if bad guys became hero's, good guys became the bad guys .Now reality. Now I sit here thinking What if we could change all this . What if we listened ,and seen . What if our reality's became just what ifs again . What if we became civilized again. What if our children could be children again.
