I loved hearing the history behind this series. I've only read about six books in the Dark Series - back in college. Now that I have more time to read, I've started re-reading the beginning books as a refresher and plan to read all of them. I'm excited by the hints you dropped here as to how the Carpathian world evolves. I cannot wait to discover those revelations for myself. Thank you for being brave enough to put out that first book, and thank you (even more) for continuing to write.

Thank you so much for building the Dark World for us. I discovered this world because
Dark Slayer's cover grabbed my attention. So gorgeous! And I was so blown away by Ivory & Razvan's love. They've remained one of my TOP HEA COUPLES! I bought all three editions of Dark Slayer ♡: hardcover, paperback, & kindle. ♡ Needless to say, I've read & loved the entire series. And will keep on reading as long as you enjoy writing about more Carpathian Hunters. ♡Just finished Dark Carousel. So loving Tariq & Charlotte. Thank you so much again for gifting me with more reference to Ivory. ♡
Your son will live on (an immortal ) via the love we have for the Carpathian Hunters. ♡
I couldn't read for years and in 2007 I finally got the glasses I needed to see and started reading again. I have always loved to read. My very favorite was the series/serial/saga format. I love the continuing story. I found you in the library. I think it was Dark Gold that I read first. I didn't actually get to read Dark Prince until I got my first Kindle. I can not tell you how much I enjoy all of your books and I own them all in paperback and e-book. Thank you for continuing what we so love the read. You are appreciated.... Candi
Working in a public library since 1986...and haunting the bookstores and library series since the 1970s, I knew a little about the Dark series, though I didn't read Dark Prince until around 2013. Now...I'm addicted, and won't let it go...

Wow! All three versions of that same book! That's amazing to me.
And thank you for your kind words about my son. No matter how much time goes by, grief never dulls, and kind words always matter.

I love reading every bit as much as I love to write and there's something about reading that is soothing to the soul.
Thank you for your kind words.

Omg just when I thought I was a big fan of yours Christine, you come out with Dark Carousel and I'm blown away! I was so sure that Val would pair up with Emma and the new twist and turns you have been leading us into since dark crime oh my god love it absolutely love it! I am chomping at the bit (get it like those icky worms) for your next book. But no rush
OK I do have a question regarding Dark Prince. So we know that Mikhail's sister was paired with one who was not her true life mate, Christine will we ever learn who her true life mate was? I know that in one of the books a vampire saw his life mate when she was much older so I was wondering.

So happy you enjoyed it.
Are you signed up for my online community? A lot of readers are other there discussing this book and you might really enjoy participating in that!
Poor Noelle didn't have much of a chance, but she sounded like a very insecure and jealous woman, though it did seem strange to me that she was so jealous of a human woman, and her half-human(?) daughter. I can hardly wait to learn more about the Carpathians, and the humans that have chosen to seek refuge and/or live among them.
Christine you already have another dark book in the works? And I did go to the community finally I was a little scared at first but that's alot of fun and they are very nice people

Jami wrote: "Christine you already have another dark book in the works? And I did go to the community finally I was a little scared at first but that's alot of fun and they are very nice people"I have an idea brewing for sure. lol
I know the community is rather large, but the people there are so supportive and fun! I am so happy you gave it a try!
Omg omg omg I can't wait..I probably have just enough time to reread all the dark series plus a the leopard and the ghost walkers.
How do you decide which character will get his/her in the next book, especially when so many new ones join the pages with the many other that have yet to have their story told
Jami wrote: "Omg omg omg I can't wait..I probably have just enough time to reread all the dark series plus a the leopard and the ghost walkers."I love your enthusiasm Jami!
Jami wrote: "How do you decide which character will get his/her in the next book, especially when so many new ones join the pages with the many other that have yet to have their story told"That's a great question! If you get a chance please post it on the Q&A segment here so I can share with everyone!
I write the stories of the characters that speak to me loudest. I'm not really methodical in keeping things linear when it comes to whose book is next. I want to enjoy writing the story, so I write the one of my heart, every single time.

Very true, though I still felt sorry for Noelle, though...in a sense she didn't seem to have a speaking role. I'm glad her parents didn't have to see her fate. If only she'd been like Sarantha and/or Leila.
Will there be another book after this? I'm just curious because you usually put a teaser of the next installment at the end of your books. :) I love how you write each of them and I always get excited every time another character is introduced.

Often times I have started the next one by the time a book comes out, but this year I just didn't get that chance. But, I do have an idea for the next book that I'm very excited about!

Thank you for sharing. I feel the need to let you know that, reading became my vice after I lost my son and it all started with Dark Prince. For the last three years I have read everything you've written. Thank you for helping me when I needed it most.
Janice wrote: "Can hardly wait for the next Dark sequel, and...dying...of curiousity."I have Bound Together and then Shadow Reaper to do first though! LOL

Shadow Reaper...how fitting for Ricco, though I did feel sorry for him. Like the title, and can hardly wait to read the book.
Janice wrote: "Shadow Reaper...how fitting for Ricco, though I did feel sorry for him. Like the title, and can hardly wait to read the book."I love Ricco. I've got an idea for the heroine and I think they'll be well matched.
Sounds great. I expect the new heroine will have to be really smart, and ...strong to out-smart Ricco, but sweet enough to get under his skin, and make him care.
I devoured this one. Like it downloaded to my kindle and it was on. I actually was forced to stay home due to being sick that Wednesday after Dark Carousel was released. I have never in my life been so glad to be sick lol. I could not put this one down. I loved the new information about the slivers and the curse. I also really loved the match between Tariq and Charlotte. They are magic together! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the men from the monastery as they take their place in this new world. I know each of them will find an amazing woman who is more than their match and I'm looking forward to the ride.
I'm taking Dark Carousel slow, as I'm savoring it. Can hardly wait to read about all those ancient monastery men, and hope their new life-mates will out-fox them, and....really...challenge them.
Janice wrote: "Sounds great. I expect the new heroine will have to be really smart, and ...strong to out-smart Ricco, but sweet enough to get under his skin, and make him care."What Ricco needs is a very special kind of woman with a lot of understanding and tolerance. lol

I love those monastery men. I love mixing the very ancient with the new world and seeing how it all goes. LOL
I agree, as ... somehow. I felt sorry for Ricco. Of course, it made me like Stefano even better seeing how he tried to save his "murdered" brother, Ettore, as well as trying so hard to help Ricco.
Christine wrote: "Sarah wrote: "I devoured this one. Like it downloaded to my kindle and it was on. I always enjoy your books but this on brought me back to when I first read Dark Fire and how I fell in love with this series.
I agree. Dark Fire, and Shadow Rider are two of my favorite--of many...many...many-- book. I'm greatly enjoying Dark Carousel; taking it slow and easy.
Dark Fire is my all time favorite Carpathian novel. I've replaced my copy twice now and I'm need to get another copy because its falling apart. Lol I think I'll just be the kindle edition this time.
Often, I've wished That Dark Fire was 1000 pages long, same with Dark Challenge, and Dark Magic. I've never been a "groupie" but I'd follow Darius, and his band, anywhere.
Omg that's exactly how I feel Janice!! I love this entire series but I adore the Daratrazanoff crew. Darius and Gerogri are the top of my list of my book boyfriends along with Gary, Julian and the Dark Twins.
Same here, Sarah. Of course I'd love to know more about their murdered parents, Roman and Leila. Francesca is my favorite female Carpathian. I'd love to know more about Mikhail's murdered parents, Vladamir (Vlad) and Sarantha, as well...hopefully in the next book.
I think as the series continues to progress we will learn more about that awful night. I am loving the addition of more ancients. I was so excited to learn about the warriors in the monastery. I just know they are going to have amazing stories. The world is so different for them now but the beauty of it is they will have so much to learn and teach the women who are their lifemates. I'm hoping that there is another Dragonseeker living there or even dare I say an uncle to the Daratrazanoff group. Wouldn't that be a tailspin!
