Cromwell Road

Well, it's done. It's finished even. It feels a little sad to let Karen Anderson's journey come to an end, but it has with Cromwell Road. Thanks to the earnings from the previous two novels, Milk and Shetland I'm hoping the occasional typo will be a thing of the past. I probably have enough material for two novellas to fit between books one and two, and two and three, but I'm a little undecided.

So, what can I tell you about it before I release it?

Cromwell Road is set in London twenty years after the first book. The plague has all but disappeared, as has any semblance of social structure, and the country has descended into civil war. Cromwell Road is set in the last days of that war. Karen, still haunted by the ghosts of her past, is now 29 and in search of redemption.

If I ever do the novellas it will be a kind of a Jane Eyre story. That was in five parts, and it's tempting to have a story about Karen at ages 9/10, 12/13, 14/15/16, 27 and 29.

The number one and two questions I get asked are:

1. Does she die in the end?
2. Does she ever find her brother?

The bad news is you'll have to buy the book to find out. The good news is that I'm going to stick to my 99p/99c pricing structure so it won't cost much. You won't have to wait long.

K Mobbs Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I first read Shetland about a year ago and only discovered Milk last week, which I enjoyed so much that I read Shetland again this week.... loved the link.
I'm sure you've had many more positive than negative feedback comments and you won't be knocked off track too much.
If the next books are as good as the previous two I'll be delighted and any improvements that you can make due to feedback is the "cherry on the cake".
Go for it.... they're great!
Kelvin
