I Let You Go

I Let You Go I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. I found the characters to be interesting and fully-developed. I liked all their various conflicts and story-lines and found them believable. I liked the detective who was torn between his wife and his partner at work--maybe because this once happened in my own marriage. I found the domestic abuse part of the story very real, maybe too real... maybe because of something that happened in my extended family that ended very tragically. Unless you have experienced this or watched something like this in your own family, and even then, these situation are difficult to fathom. I liked all the plot twists. I liked the settings. I liked the police part and the art part. I found it all delightful. My one complaint is that it starts rather slowly.
I read some of the reviews that were critical of this book and I thought these people should try to write a book. It is so easy to criticize and so difficult to create a PERFECT masterpiece. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
