Find Your Happiness
Are you the person who is happy only with the company of others? (Others can range from joke crackers to people who just stare at cute girls/boys along with you). Are you the person who enjoy the moments only when you are at the centre of attraction? Are you the one who rely on your boyfriend/girlfriend as you think you cannot live without them?
But what if the joke cracker leaves the room? What if your BF/GF breaks up with you for another person? What if everyone turns away the attention from you to another? Definitely your expectations on how others will treat you or be close with you will be disappointed and obviously you will be sad. Because you think you cannot be happy without others!!?
You are not alone!... 80% of people in the world do the same above said things..!! But unfortunately you are wrong!!
You can definitely be happy with yourself. I have read a lot of articles about how to make one happy by him-self/her-self ! But what I am going to share here is what I tried and experienced!
Just 5 minutes a day is enough to know where your happiness is!
Take a sheet of paper. Don’t keep on looking at the screen. Take the paper!!
Find a quiet lonely place. Sit comfortably.
Now close your eyes and take a long deep breath. Think of your childhood. When I say childhood you should only think of the happiest moments not the days you cried for a kik-kat or cricket bat. Just the happy days! Make a rewind. Now you must feel pleasant.
Now make a list on the paper.
1. Your interests/inborn talents you had before the age of ten. It can be anything! For me one of my interests was collecting miniature dolls…Some people love to write diary. Some love scribbling…Some draw cartoons. You must have left that interest for your studies or job.
2. You should get at least one to write. If you have many just select one that is feasible to do now. Figure out what you are in that interest, the one who create something or who enjoys that has been already created.
For example, are you a singer or a listener? Are you good at writing or are you good at reviewing someone else’s writing?
Any way both are talents so you don’t have to be creative. Just being the one who admires the creative works makes you unique!
3. Now you know what you enjoy apart from your daily job, friends, family get togethers, movies, etc..
4. What you enjoy is your passion. So before going to bed every night, just spend 5 minutes for it. I write at least a sentence what comes in my mind before sleep. If you love a particular music, listen to it. If you are a guitarist, play it for 5 minutes.
This will relieve all of your day’s stress, worries about your future; even it can control your anger. Consistency is the foundation for evolution. So practice it at least for six months. Then your hobby turns out to be a habit. After that, you won’t be expecting your gf/bf to call you! You won’t complain that your friend cannot accompany you for the weekend! You won’t be complaining that your hubby/ wife is not paying attention for your needs!
You can be happy with yourself. This can take you to another dimension where you will be observing yourself and it can open a door to a world where you know who really you are!
