The Ardoon King is now available

"The Ardoon King," Book 2 of the Nisirtu series, is being posted via Amazon and Smashwords this week. Please note that the working title for this book was "Daughters of the Last Kingdom," which is still appropriate as a majority of the leading characters are female. However, for a variety of reasons (foremost of which is that the Cover art was completed - and paid for), I returned to the original title.

This book sees the main characters dispersed as new threats emerge beyond Steepleguard. Among these threats are mysterious temples that are generating creatures known as "bashmu" that appear intent upon destroying what little is left of civilization. I've introduced a few new characters, to include an "Ardoon," Sam Richards, and his family; Lady Thalassa, a brilliant physicist who aids the king in interpreting the Tiwanaku tablets; Archduke Porazo, a Nisirtu survivor from the east who seems intent on causing Annasa Lilitu grief; Vedeus, a Peth warrior from the east who rescues Lady Persipia (first chapter of the book - not a spoiler); and Lady Persipia herself, who makes a cameo in the last chapters of The Apocalypse Script but who plays a much larger role in the sequel.

It was a lot of fun writing this book and I hope to write a third, if there's sufficient support to merit the effort. Thanks everyone for your positive emails and posts. That's what keeps me going!
