My post
Beautiful People,
The Story Circle Network, not-for-profit corporation, was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to helping women share the stories of their lives through memoir, poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and drama, and to raising public awareness of the importance of women's personal histories.
By sharing their personal narrative, women help to increase awareness of different situations and circumstances, highlight the importance of personal choice, and emphasize the impact culture has on women’s everyday life including: self-esteem, self-realization and self-expression.
I’m proud to share with you the Circle Network review of my memoir, The Opposite of Comfortable, The Unlikely Choices of an Immigrant Career Woman.
The book was reviewed by Susan Schoch who wrote: “What is most significant in The Opposite of Comfortable is a modern woman's struggle, and the creation of a new American family. Around the world, women share the predicament of finding a life balance that nurtures a happy family, grows a satisfying career, serves the larger community, and fulfills their inner need and purpose...As it did for me, this is a story to spur awareness and growth.”
