I'm writing chapter one!
I've started writing my new novel! The working title is Etti's Love. It will eventually be different. I always find the title to be as much of an adventure as the story, and I know there will be many attempts until the perfect title finally comes to me.
Etti's Love is a prequel novella in my Coin Forest series. It's Etti's story, and she is a fascinating character. She has chosen a most unusual pet, and it's causing conflict and ill feelings among her family members.
This is Etti's view when she looks outside her Gypsy wagon. When the story begins, eleven-year-old Etti and her kumpania of fifty relatives and friends are traveling to the horse fair in France. The year is 1401. Photo compliments of pixabay.com

Thank you, Dawn! Me, too. Starting a new novel is a little like falling off the cliff. It gets the heart pounding sooo fast, then niggling thoughts invade the mind, like, "Will I land safely?" hahahaI've been enjoying your reviews. Please keep them coming, and I'll post updates of my progress.

I'm on chapter five now, and discovering more about Etti, but still no inspirations on the title. Since this is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), I thought I'd be moving along faster.

I've passed the halfway mark on ETTI'S WISH, and the words are flowing. I loved Etti the first time she appeared in Tabor's Trinket--her spirit, her strength, her cleverness with business and matters of the heart. Getting to know her as a young woman is captivating. In addition, the recent DNA discoveries of the Gypsies' first appearances in Europe are inspiring me, too.
