As promised, here’s the current status of Book 2.

The story itself is almost completely written, as I originally wrote Book 1 and 2 together as one story. I split them when it became clear that the story was too large for me to ever finish to my satisfaction in the time I had available to me. Thus, the start point and end point are solidified; the major characters are fleshed out; the locations are vividly real in my imagination; and all of the major events have gone through several drafts and edits.

That all sounds rather hopeful, but the work is still in need of major revision. My writing has improved over the past few years, so much so that Book 2 requires near-complete rewriting, saving but a few colourful analogies and some smoothly-flowing dialogue.

The process will, of course, be much more straightforward and expedient than Book 1 (see how hopeful I am?), the more so depending on how much positive feedback and interest I receive.
