So…found this….and I thought I’d share….
It’s a pretty good look at what the folks over at experteditor.co.uk found…common threads in relation to the length of the book, the identity of the chief protagonist, and how writing styles have evolved.
In addition, while romance books are clearly the most popular genre today in terms of total sales, more people have read a crime/thriller book over the last year than any other genre.
Not surprisingly, a budding author should try to publish in the US, whose book market was worth $27.98 billion in 2014. Six markets – the US, China, Germany, Japan, France and the UK – account for over 60% of global spending on books.
