IT IS AMAZING TO DISCOVER THE KNOWLEDGE CENTRED IN KISSI PEOPLE ABOUT EBOLA EVEN BEFORE EBOLA WAS DISCOVERED IN 1976

‘If more than three monkeys die in seven Suns, fourth one wants to take humans with them.’ It was a famous Kissi saying that my grandfather used to tell. He used to say, ‘the wild almonds which slip between the teeth of a flying bereaved bat make those who pick widows and widowers.’ What old people used to say matched perfectly with the messages dissemination used for prevention of Ebola in modern days. And also exhumed a relic about how different tribes used various names for what is called Ebola today.

Rohana Dilrukshan The book'Behind the Eclipse' brings out the true life struggles of an innocent tribesman with the explosive outbreak of the deadly disease Ebola which stormed across the West African region during the 2014-2015 period, pulling hundreds thousands of people into the trench of death.
The pieces of advice shared by the people of old generations always solidify our journey of life and they can't be dismissed as junk because it's a blessing in disguise to have their Love with you when you are in joy or sorrow irrespective of your colour of skin, position in society or religion you take refuge.
The Author's style of writing is such that he has given his reader complete freedom to skim in the story which in no way restricts your points of view to a particular area of importance or purpose, allowing you to broaden your thought to an enlightened one through the delicate use of language.
Life is an experience with constant struggling as we largely perceive. How many of us may realise that No one is a loser even in the depth of calamities when you see the light Behind the Eclipse?

Pramudith Rupasinghe You are absolutely right. 'Behind the Eclipse' is a story of resilience. An exemplary life. A man who is ordinary but does builds a meaning for life even after being hit left and right by a killer epidemic that usurped his loving wife and daughter.
Thanks for demonstrating the high level of understanding of my style of writing; really appreciated it. Thanks again for the comment.
