The Game

Once back at our camping spot, I take out my pois and breathe life into them. Rotating them above my head, time stops. Normally such activity would be tiring after just five minutes or less, especially at this altitude. But at that moment, I could have spun those colored ribbons for much longer, as if I'd have no muscles to feel the exhaustion. I'm expressing my transcendental self through joy and pleasure. The world around me stood still. Hypnotized.
