Several readers wanted to me to keep in touch about our adoption process. I’m disappointed to report that we haven’t heard anything from the agency handling the adoption. Their phone message does not allow any messages – ODD! I sent a few emails this morning to various email addresses with hopes of learning something. We’ve been advised that there is a long wait period in the system by other case workers. Apparently, the organization is processing foster children into foster homes, but doesn’t have enough case workers to process the children and adoptive parents. We are quite disappointed at the moment. On the other hand, it is giving us time to get tasks completed around the house and some other issues taken care of before we have our daughter.
