I haven't been reading or writing much this year - my eyes would not let me.
I started having problems in the 90's ... yes folks I'm that old. I had cataracts and some years later some skin tissue blocked my vision and had to be lasered off. Funny how the body tries to heal itself no matter where the damage is. Well the problem is back.
I'm older - retired - at peace with myself, so not driving much doesn't trouble me, but losing the joy of reading hurts like a knife cut. Sitting at my computer trying to write and not seeing the words flow is crushing.
I've been telling my readers my next novel is almost ready for so long now I don't think they believe me any more, but it is. Editing is a mind game at the best of times now it is a cruel instrument of torture.
Hopefully by March I will be back in the swing of things again. I hope everyone has a wonderful 2017.

Editing is the worse ... the words on the page run together and nothing jumps out as an error. I have my 2nd novel out to a few beta readers I trust so I hope to publish soon. My 3rd novel seems to be writing itself so that is a blessing.
