Teaser #3
#TeaserTuesday
I'm still not revealing Harley's love interest, so he is simply "he" for now ;)
From A Little Bit Broken
Finding My Forever Book 2
(Unedited and subject to change)
He raised his brow again and asked, “Soap?”
I swallowed hard, still incapable of speech, and stepped closer to him, reaching behind him onto the shelf and pulled the bar of soap off, then offered it to him. I realized how close we were standing when I felt the brush of his knee against my leg. Instead of taking my proffered soap, he stepped even closer and out of the water, slid his hand up my arm to my shoulder, behind my neck and into my hair. Then he pulled my head down to his and our lips met in a fierce kiss. I resisted at first, but I couldn’t help but melt into him as he held me there. I felt his other hand travel to my hip then around to the small of my back, trapping me further—not that I minded, at all. My hands were trapped between our chests as I clutched the soap.
When he finally released my mouth, I felt boneless and ended up leaning forward. He pressed my head down so my cheek could rest on his shoulder. He started rubbing circles on my lower back and he shifted his other arm across my shoulders, hugging me to him and making me feel raw—again.
What is it about this man that does this to me? Every other time I’m around him, he makes me feel things that I shouldn’t—no, couldn’t feel. It’s like he knew just how to make me feel bare. But, he felt so strong and comfortable, holding me up, that I felt safe there, like I could stay here with him… forever. I pushed those thoughts away as soon as I had them and pushed myself up off of him, grabbed his hand and placed the soap in it. I stepped back, reached out of the curtain and grabbed an unopened bar from the little shelf I had there, then I opened it and threw the box into the waste basket, pushing those crazy thoughts further away.
