I Will Send Rain has been shortlisted for the Langum Prize in American Historical Fiction. I'm on a shortlist! The same shortlist as Annie Proulx! Such exciting news for me on this slushy Tuesday.I Will Send Rain

So very happy for you - it's not just the nuance and technique and tension you built in, but all of the meticulous research that made this family seem so real. I could not have imagined my child playing with dried up bones that he found scattered outside, but you made it seem natural. Well done.
