Moving experience!

Been away from my blog site for a while, so it's time to get back to normal. July 8th, Bev and I left early and drove the moving truck from Pocono lake to Vassalboro, Maine to begin our new lives here in the state we've always loved being in. Our rental property in Newport was still under renovation, but thanks to our builder, Eric, we had a place to stay until it was complete. I still have nightmares about the packing, driving, and unloading that will stay with me for a long time. One thing is for sure. I"M GETTIN' TOO OLD TO DO THAT!  I have to say, Bev was amazing. She worked as hard…maybe harder in getting this move accomplished. She was the regular Energizer Bunny. :-) I couldn't have done it without her.

Maine is beautiful. Mountains, rivers, lakes, and the coast; all within a short drive for us. You leave a city such as Waterville, or the Capitol, Augusta, and within a mile you're in the country. The attitude here is so much more laid back than the many places I've lived. People told me that Mainers are stand-offish. Far from it! I've found them to be very open and friendly to us. I look forward to meeting, and, making new friends here as the years roll on.

I miss my my friends from NJ and PA, though they will always remain our friends no matter how far apart we are. Thais is our last move. The one we've talked about for years. I look forward to seeing our home being built and the final move this Winter ( yes I'm getting help this time.):-)

That's it for now; gotta start the BBQ for dinner.

Tim
