I just finished this book today and I loved how well you portrayed the realistic twist! I haven't read the original French fairy tale but you were able to at least take scenes from the 1992 Disney movie and re-write them with believable human motivations and instincts in context with the 19th century Gothic setting. My vote for your next retelling if you're between The Little Mermaid or Aladdin? I'm torn! Aladdin would be fantastic and current with the potential for vibrant culture and world building...but Little Mermaid would be intriguing and creative to see how you retell that with a realistic twist.

Thank you so much for reaching out! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the "realistic" twist I put on Beauty of the Beast. I'm definitely having a lot of fun reimagining our classic childhood fairy tales with an adult edge. :-) Ah! Tell me about it! I'm completely torn between Aladdin and The Little Mermaid... my heart is leaning toward Aladdin, but I have a clearer plot in mind for The Little Mermaid.... I guess I'll have to go to the drawing board and see what "calls out to me" more urgently. ;)
Thank you again for your message and your "vote!" I really appreciate it! :-D
