I've just completed a two-week residency at the Wellstone Writing Centre in California, and highly recommend this wonderful setting and its creative hosts for any writer wishing a supportive context in which to develop your craft.

In addition to time and space, Steve and Sarah provided warm and critical feedback, collaborative meals, the company of other gifted writers, and restorative yoga--a fantastic combination.

My new manuscript The Butterfly Café, a young adult verse-novel told in four voices, really took off here, thanks to the opportunity to do research in the home setting of one of the characters as well as the inspirational retreat atmosphere. I highly recommend the Wellstone Centre as a stellar place where creative dreams come true--thank you Wellstone, for a great writing experience.
