So, at the end of my last book, I mentioned how I was focusing on a few different projects. Just wanted to update that I have started writing a new one that will likely be a novella tentatively titled "The Shelter in Lake Side Forest" until I can think of something better.

It follows a group of thieves hired by a local crime lord to steal an artifact from a local rich family. When they reluctantly do, though, things go south and they soon find themselves on the run, forced into hiding in the local forest at an old abandoned summer cabin that once belonged to Frey's (one of the thieves) family. Things predictably go south because the object they get warps the minds and bodies of those around it. Think Reservoir Dogs meets Hellraiser.
