Forgiven
Well, I'm back. I've been away for a year, removing all of the errors in Forgiven. It was quite a mission and there were many changes, which included more proof reads and a professional edit, plus a new cover from Bev Robiti. P.D.R. Lindsey was a great help here, with gems of wisdom and impartial advice - precisely what I joined Goodreads for, of course. The next big challenge will be how to market it, a roll I am uniquely unqualified for, as I suspect, many other authors are and like me had no idea what they have got themselves into. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained, so now I must brace myself for the rigours of the next twelve months. Regards, Geoff Lawson

When I researched for my novel FORGIVEN I discovered an article on the Victorian phenomenon where young women were very judgmental of those who were deemed to be "too friendly with men." This could result in social exile that could continue on indefinitely. Intrigued, I incorporated this into the story where Rachel is unjustly vilified by gossip and inuendo and becomes a social outcast. I guess, you will just have to read FORGIVEN to find out how she manages to deal with that.
