Current Events
Before you get too excited I don't mean current events as in national or global events, these are my personal current events. I couldn't think of a good title.
Work on book 3 of RWTH is underway. It is about a quarter of the way written. I think if I ever write another trilogy I will write the entire story before I publish anything. I know how frustrating it can be to want to know the next part of a story and have to wait and wait and wait. I hate that but I'm doing it now.
I could churn out 100,000 words of crap in probably 60 days if I wanted to but I don't want to do that. I care about the story and want it to be perfect. Or as near as I can get. The struggle is real, peeps.
There are a handful of people who view my FB page at least weekly. I know this because I receive notifications anytime someone visits. Not who, just a number. I know what they are looking for. Something, anything to indicate I am still alive and writing the story. I know this because I do the same thing on a number of author sites and pages. I won't name names (SL, GRRM, PR, etc...). I feel this issue deeply on both sides of the coin now. I both understand and do not understand. I both love and hate this. A true dichotomy of perspectives. But this is the human condition. I sometimes go months without an update on my pages. No excuses, it just laziness in my case. Also I get distracted easily, there are so many good television shows to watch! Have you seen Legion? Taboo? But for those interested, I am not dead.
I have been doing a lot of traveling of late for work. I've been to such glorious places as Manhattan (repeatedly), Dallas and Columbus. I have Cleveland up next. Finally got TSA Precheck - which is my favorite thing. Fastpass for me!
*I am by no means under any delusion that I am anywhere near the stature of the the initials above as far as my writing or books are concerned. I merely relating my experience the only way I can.
So here is a fun left turn. For my own sanity I am taking a pause from RWTH to write a short non-fiction book on dieting. Yes, I am serious. I hope to bring a little humor and sarcasm to that unpleasant subject while also making a few enemies. A person needs a few of those for growth and to maintain a healthy sense of paranoia.
Looking forward to those late night comments from the bot world.
