Steep Turn: A Physician's Journey from Clinic to Cockpit

For me this was a truly great read.
As a practicing emergency medicine physician who has been actively flying for a major airline for more than 25 years this is the book that I wish I had written. The author does a great job describing the rigors of early medical training (back then it really was "see one, do one, teach one"), the challenges of being a military flight surgeon and the hard choices and family sacrifices that must be made when trying to combine two very challenging careers. This was particularly enjoyable for me since many of the experiences the author recounts, both in the the medical and aviation fields, are nearly identical to my own. This was truly a trip down memory lane. Great job Captain (Doctor) Crawley and congratulations on a remarkable career.
