True Strength

I'm sure you've all heard it said that "whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." I challenge you to realize that sometimes it's what kills you that actually makes you stronger. Every trial you face gives you an opportunity to either follow the road to brokenness, or travel the path to wholeness. Will you choose to give in and give up? Or will you choose to see each trial as a chance to die more to self and live more for Christ? "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:1-2) Draw on the only power that saves, that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His grace is sufficient, and in our weaknesses He is made strong, and given the glory. "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:9-11)
