It's a well known fact that monkeys are funny. All comedians know this. Did you ever see the film clip of the monkey washing the cat on David Letterman? I love cats, so it was good to see the kitty survived the scrubbing intact, but that was FUNNY.

I just finished making two throw pillows for my new vacation house, and of course, they are covered in monkey fabric. (My husband chose it - he's a huge monkey fan.) Now, these are very classy monkies. They are dressed in elaborate gypsy costumes with striped stockings, pleated lace collars, embroidered vests, and little coats with tails. The lady monkey has a wreath on her head and is wearing a lovely peasant dress. They're all peeking out of a forest of banana leaves.

It's all very festive and should add just the right touch of whimsy to a vacation house, don't you think?
