My Fav Sitcoms: A.K.A. Vegging Out
As a rule, I don't like or watch TV sitcoms. They seem too derivative and inane to me. But...never say never, right? I like a few programs that tickle my funny bone. I can't tell you why that is. Different strokes.
I've watched the Seinfeld reruns probably 5 or 6 times each. That sort of behavior must border on the obsessive. Can't help it. I still get a chuckle out the shows.
Last year we started watching The Office and got hooked. I chuckle at the spoof of the office environment and the "crazies" working there. Creed remains my favorite character in the series. Dwight is a laugh-getter, too. Jim and Pam, thank goodness they're together like they should be. Great chemistry is at work there.
A newer sitcom I watched this Saturday was Hot in Cleveland with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and Betty White. I got to laughing in spite of myself. Betty White is always a hoot. Sure they're vapid and shallow ladies in the show, but that's why they're goofy.
How does this blog post tie back to reading books? Well, I do read while the commercials and credits air.
