No matter what you write – scripts or novels – the ending needs to be memorable. You want the reader or viewer to keep thinking about your story long after they’re finished. I think it’s harder in books. And I say that because movies are visual. You can leave the audience with that image of the ice pick under the bed, a pair of eyes staring into the camera, the protagonist being pulled into the water.
