REVIEW | A Court Of Thorns And Roses

MY FEELINGS!!!!!I saw this a while ago on shelves and heard the hype this book created but I never got around purchasing it. It was recommended to me, it was thrown in my face a million times by my friends, but I never picked it up from the stores. I was sooooo freaking wrong!!!I finally got around to read it, and let me tell you, that was the best decision I ever made.Feyre, a huntress, left to stand on her own two feet and hunt for a shell of her family, found it extremely frustrating - especially since her two sisters did nothing but gossip and criticize, and her father, who completely broke down after losing their fortune, gave up trying to provide for his family, left Feyre no choice but to take matters into her own hands. After unknowingly killing a Faerie in a wolf's disguise, she is dragged into the land of her enemies by a mesmerizing but dangerous High Fae, Tamlin, who is determined to let her pay for her sins. But what came as a surprise there was freedom, was a fresh set of clothes, was meals so filling, she felt like she had never eaten in her entire existence. As the book unravels and mysteries are solved, Feyre realizes that nothing stays the same. That relationships are tested and bravery is recognized, and that she would fall head first into a romance she would have never expected, a romance that would finally test her...Sarah J Maas didn't fail me even one bit. She is an evil genius. My only regret was not purchasing this book the day it was out. A court of thorns and roses was a brilliant retelling. It had everything; from a badass heroine, to a magical setting, to a draw-dropping-hotness-overload male character, to a feisty romance, you name it! This book left me shattered in pieces. It left me clutching it in my sleep. It left me whooping with joy when Feyre fought and won her right with Tamlin in the end.I loved Feyre from the beginning. I loved how strong and determined she was. Nothing fazed her. I loved the way she went to lengths to prove her love for Tamlin and succeeded. Sarah created a perfect heroine, that I would have to say. Someone who was brave and witty and a character who would definitely stick with me for more books to come.Tamlin... sighs.... Where do I even start? There was nothing I didn't love about him. I loved his constant mood swings, loved his crazy back and forth banter with Feyre. He was the perfect male character anyone could ever come up with. Totally swoon worthy. Sarah should be applauded alone for just coming up with amazing characters that make up the whole story. This book is utterly brilliant and I would recommend everyone and anyone to read it. You can definitely bet I would be curled up on my couch, reading A Court of Mist and Fury tonight.I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! I NEED MORE RIGHT NOW bawls and crawls into the nearest sofa This book blew me away and I assure you, you won't be disappointed.
