Oh no! You had quite the nasty surprise with the pipes. Yeah, and a water bill on top of cleaning up a mini flood would be salt to the wound. Too bad, it wasn't summer so you could re-purpose the flood waters to use in your garden or something.
Thanks for the best wishes. Yay, glad you would choose TDM for a diversion (water bill troubles).
Yes, and I do feel badly that those without social media can't participate in the giveaways because I would love to see everyone be able to get their chance to win.
Everyone who chooses not to have these have pretty compelling reasons not to so I know its not just a simple issue of quickly signing up for them. Social Media is definitely a two-edged sword.
You're here on GR so maybe when physical copies come out then there might be a giveaway here. I'm not in charge of it so I'm just guessing, but it would be cool, right?
Thanks for visiting my post, Jeanne, and may you not be fooled today. :)
As far as the give-a-ways... it's all good. I get to buy my very own copy... and support my favorite authors... so no worries. And in reference to social media... no way will I have it unless compelled to. Back in the day, while I was still in the classroom, students hacked my cellphone and did quite a bit of mischief with my account. They changed my greeting to something nasty [informed any male caller what I could or would do for them], ran up my bill [didn't have a plan back then], gave my number out to friends who called and left messages... some were pretty creative and nasty, erased saved messages, etc. So... for me, social media has been off limits as far as I am concerned.
And you prove my point. What a horrid experience for you and I'm angry on your behalf though I know it's not recent so that's futile.Appreciate your support of the authors by purchasing a book. I know you could choose of so many other wonderful books. :)
Lovely post Sophia. Good luck with the book. I'm kinda with J W. I don't do FB or Twitter or any of that stuff. GoodReads is as good as it gets for me. I know I miss a lot from authors by not being on FB but it's still not tempting me to join.March flew here too and we've had at least five different weathers. I'm longing to get out in the garden but no such luck. The potatoes will be late again this year.

Wow, five! You definitely get some changeable weather there. My garden is started inside in my seeding trays and I have to keep it in the dining room window until at least May because of threat of frost, but so worth it. Love the fresh veggies, herbs, and the pretty flowers.
Me too Sophia. The taste of your own home grown produce has to be eaten to believed. And seeing the results of your hard work come to fruition is a wonderful feeling.
Sophia,I really enjoyed your post! I wish you and the rest of the authors of TDM the very best,I know it will be well received!! Gotta admit that I'm with Jeanne and Teresa with regards social media. Am totally allergic to all forms of it,my only exception being GR,which I love!!
Yes,as Teresa has said,March gave us here in the Emerald Isle beautiful sunny, warm days, followed by rain, wind, first and snow!!
Happy reading !!
Glad you enjoyed it, Mary! And yay, thanks for the vote of confidence. The social media thing is definitely a deterrent I know.
You gals have had quite the weather roulette thing going on. :)
Hey, Sophia Rose! Congrats on TDM! I'm so happy you are one of the authors! My March flew by (as most months seem to do these days!) with a Spring Break and a lovely visit from my daughter.
As I was pulling my Easter stuff from the cabinet in the garage, I spied quite a few termite tunnels! Those little buggers had been busy sometime between Christmas and now! Not the surprise I wanted to see. Lol!
We saw a lot of much-needed rain here in SoCal this winter. Happy day! I love the rain.
Have a fantastic April!
Hey, good to hear from you, Candy!Love that you had a great visit with your daughter and a good Spring Break. Ugh, on the termites. Pesky varmites!
You guys definitely needed the rain. I loved seeing the drought chart going smaller and smaller until it disappeared for you all.
Thanks, and you do the same! :)

Now as to my March: 3:00 A.M. split pipe flooded my mudroom/laundry. Frantic calls to the Water Co hotline, and a plumber as we diverted water to an outside door with a squeegee. Then we spent the next several days with fans trying to dry out the wet areas. I hate seeing that water bill. Ah spring.
I am so looking forward to your book launch. I need a diversion. Best wishes on your launch Sophia. I am so excited for you and the other authors.
Note: I've noticed in the give-a-ways that you have to Facebook or twitter; unfortunately, not everyone faces, tweets, snaps, chats or... whatever. Just an observation.
