On Audiobooks

The Interminables has one now.    (check it out!)

I confess that I've never really gotten into audiobooks. I don't think I've ever listened to one all the way through before. I knew that they were available, and were a thing, but I've never bought one.

After this, I just might.

1. It's like listening to a radio play!  With fewer sound effects. Radio plays are neat.

2. I never knew a single human being could invent so many distinct voices. I've never been good at voices myself (one of my failings as a GM) and this is amazing to me.

3. I've never really heard Istvan talking in his weird accent before (because I'm not good at voices). It's strange to hear! But neat.

4. [redacted] has been given a New York accent. Of course she has a New York accent! Why didn't I think of that?

Audiobook people, let me know what else I've been missing out on!
