Here’s a Riddle for You . . .

Who killed Malibu?

My good friend, and now fellow author, Rhonda Crowder, recently released her debut novel, Riddles. It is a mystery, with a little bit of cozy elements and a whole lot of twists. A read you won’t want to miss.

The book’s protagonist is Chyne “Riddles” Jaspers, a thirty-something entrepreneur of sorts, and like her name, the story is anything but ordinary. The story is exceptional in many aspects.

For one, it explores an area not often written about within the mystery genre – adult entertainment. But don’t get alarmed, it’s not erotica. In fact, it is tastefully written and done so well that it will pull you in right from the first page, and before you know it, you’re lost in the story.

Chyne (pronounced “Shine”), better known at work as Riddles, is working her usual shift at Joker’s Gentleman Club when she discovers a dead body. Of course the police investigate, but Riddles knows from past experience that sticking with a case that involves a sex worker isn’t priority number one for any detective. So she takes it upon herself to solve the crime, but what she finds blows her mind – as it will yours.

Another reason the book is exceptional is because of the author. Rhonda has immersed herself in everything literary from the word go – it was only natural that she’d write such a good book. She has a degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. And over the course of her nearly twenty year career, she had run the gamut in the world of journalism – copywriter, reporter, and freelance editor. Additionally, she has been a ghostwriter and an associate publisher.

[image error]I gave this book 5 stars because I enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend it!

Happy Reading!
