Life is filled with moments of great joy mixed with moments of terror. The Christian on his or her journey, far from a perfect creature is on the path to perfection. The consolations given by his blessed Lord encourage the follower to continue on that climb to Calvary and even should he fall, the Light of the world remains as that guide beckoning to him. There is indeed beauty in this realm of the natural but how greater the supernatural! Thus by comparison, this natural estate is indeed ugly even cruel. It is this human cruelty that prompts us to change, grow in our understanding of reality that we might conform our minds to the truth and accept what is so that we might seek out what should be thereby perfecting what is inside but only through embracing what is love, that is Christ our Redeemer, the Light of Eärendil.
