Juliew. All in the name of ratings:( However,I am watching it and it did get my attention to explore more people that were involved in her story so hopefully if other people watch it they will feel the same and perhaps begin an interest in important english history and anything that brings attention to what I love and what many people love is a good thing:)

I, too, am all for people being drawn into history, but I can also only choke down a certain amount of utter falsehoods. Historical novelists (or scriptwriters) should fill in gaps, not rewrite history. This is why I see debates in online history groups every single day. People don't know what to believe & many don't do additional research. Alright, my rant is over! Thank you for indulging me.

Thank you, Iset!

Vanessa I'm sort of watching it, because... well, it's not a story that gets told often, since their son was ... let's just say, so focus pulling.
I cringe my way through it for some nice Henry/Elizabeth scenes and just ignore the rest (their cuddle in bed last episode was cute).
(Every time someone implies or outright says that Richard III was Elizabeth's lover, I want to bite a pillow.)

I do love to see Elizabeth get some attention. However, I can barely watch the commercials without getting angry. ;-)

I'm kind of hoping it will lead to some new fiction books about her, you know? Like The Tudors did for Anne Boleyn (and Henry VIII and his other wives to a bit lesser extent). Aka people becoming interested, doing their research and then write good stuff.

Samantha I think there's one or two good ones. ;-)
