Being a Spooker

Although my first two books are about beings from other planets, I find that my poetry and short stories are getting progressively spookier and darker.

I am fascinated with all things paranormal and currently obsessing about the Victorian's and their love of Seances, Harry Houdini (who tried to debunk them) and Arthur Conan-Doyle, who shared my love of fairies and the supernatural.

Anyway, my purpose for writing this particular blog post (my first post, actually) is to give other Spookers (this was a term given to writers of spooky tales!), a great idea for getting some fantastic inspiration.

Go on a Ghost Hunt!

I have taken my own advice (to excess, as usual) and am now part of a Paranormal Company called Sussex Darkside and get to spend many an evening wandering around beautiful, historic buildings, in the dark, looking for (and often finding) ghostly experiences.
When I get home, I am filled with all sorts of ideas for stories and poems; many of them based on the experiences I have had - I really recommend it!

You can see some of my spooky poems on my poetry website www.misinformedpoet.com.
