Summer Reading

Just got Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, first because I love this scientist-author-TV personality, and second because I'm researching my new YA series.

What could be more fascinating than stars, and the fact that we all came from stars? Publisher W.W. Norton and Company says this book will tell readers what they need to know about the "essential universe" and will reveal what we Neil deGrasse Tysonneed to be "ready for the next cosmic headlines from the Big Bang to black holes. from quarks to quantum mechanics, and from the search for planets to the search for life in the universe."

I've started reading (I admit, I have to go back and re-read some passages to make sure I understand) and it is not only interesting but also entertaining, as Tyson delivers the goods with his unique sense of humor.
