Am brainstorming topics for a new thriller with a fellow writer friend who lives in Canada. We did our master's together and I've enjoyed working with him on the writing forums and some exercises we did together. We have at the moment so many ideas for possible thrillers that it's hard to decide on which one to go with. It's my first collaborative writing effort and I guess this is the first hurdle any collaborative effort has to manage - finding something that they both feel sits right with them. For me the topic and characters have to be those I'm passionate about - I have to be able to lose myself in them and the plot for the writing to work. I'm sure we will find one that works for both of us and I'm excited about getting started. Great also to have someone to bounce ideas off and share the endless revisions. I've been trying to read as much as possible and have read numerous thrillers which I will add to my list. Am still waiting for three more to arrive from Amazon. Definitely addicted to buying books and must really do something about moving on the stacks I have at home by either giving away or selling forward. I'm sure there are a lot of us out there with the same problem. Happy reading all and happy writing too for those who are writers.
