Time Flies
Wow, it's been awhile since I've been here. I have been writing but last year my iMac updated to a new operating system over a weekend I was visiting family. When I got back, I tried to log in. That's when my four month ordeal started. It didn't recognize my log in so I used a few tricks to log in using non traditional methods, then the computer couldn't find my home folder. I called apple, they walked me through a few steps with no success. They suggested I go to an authorized repair location. I did, and after three weeks they couldn't get my folder open. A file got corrupted and encrypted when my back up saved the change, it apparently saved the corrupted encrypted file- Lesson learned- I won't encrypt my files anymore, (I'll leave that for the people that have secrets). After learning some code, yes I learned some code, I managed to open an older file and save at least a little info. Then I tried something that looked like it might work and I somehow managed to erase my home folder altogether YIKES. I had to start my book over again. It's called, The Ragin War, and is about human colonization in the far distant future. My little break from my 3rd book in the God Chronicles turned out to be much longer than I expected. I also have a couple other books in the wing. I'm trying to work on a way to slow time while I catch up on my writing, the only thing that's worked so far is taking the batteries out of my clock. This method seems to work locally, but as soon as I step out of the room, Wham, time shifts back to normal.
