A Few of the More Famous Lynskeys (Are Any Related to Me?)
Everybody is said to get their 15 minutes of fame. I guess if you get more than the 15, then you qualify as famous. Anyway, I was curious (because that's how writers are) if there were a few, or any, famous LYNSKEYs found in the annuls of history. Here's my report:
#1. Melanie Lynskey. The most visible Lynskey has been in a slew of movies. I saw her last in Win, Win, a not very complimentary role that she pulled off in convincing fashion.
#2. Lynskey Performance Designs. My cousin Chuck (lynskey.com) tells me the makers of sleek titanium bicycles are related in some way. Check them out.
#3. Winifred C. Lynskey. A Canadian academic who edited Reading Modern Fiction (1957) which I see listed everywhere with my own books. That's about all I know of Winifred. She was active publishing in the 1940s and 1950s. Born in 1905, she's probably not still living today.
#4. Marie Lynskey. Authored a couple books on creative calligraphy I also see everywhere.
#5. William Gaston Lynskey. My grandfather the diligent tree surgeon who once graced the pages of National Geographic. http://tiny.cc/ypc66
#6. Ed Lynskey (not me!). "The difference between a cop and a thug is one wears a uniform...sometimes." A convicted murderer from Ireland who's quoted in Ken Bruen's noir Once Were Cops.
