Saving Spade: WW1 Has Ended But the Battle to Save a Horse Has Just Begun

Creating a video trailer for my book SAVING SPADE was a challenge and I'd be interested in other's experiences.

I used iMovie on my Mac as I have had some previous experience. My budget was small and taken up with purchasing rights to use images and music.

Finding images of people that represent character in my story is almost like casting a movie. The difference is, unlike the ability to direct an actor, you are restricted to limited still shots of people that may look right for the story but framing, angle, eye line, clothes and even setting does not suit what is needed for the video.
Then there is the added problem of securing releases from those who posed. Some stock photo sites do include model release but some don't.

All this is before you even begin to put together your video. That I'll leave till my next blog.
