Life is complicated...
Well, life can get complicated. I've never been in a place in my life where it is more so.
My husband is working in NC and has found a house there for us to stay in, sort of. Because we still have a house in TN. Three kids in college in TN. Two are working this summer and one is commuting doing summer school. One is looking for work. My two youngest will be going to NC with me so we can stay with Daddy. My little girl is having some health issues, poor thing.
My publisher has closed doors, though I had decided not to try to publish more books with them. That puts my first book out of print now so I republished it digitally with Amazon.
I'm missing my folks in TX who are elderly and my husband's mom who is also in TX. My father in law passed away last December.
The situation with my husband in NC is making it harder to celebrate with family for birthdays and other special days like Mother's Day and Father's Day.
My kids are getting older now, but we all love to eat together and have parties together and it's hard for them to be apart from their parents and siblings on those special days.
Part of this is just that the kids are getting older. I have one son in college though who will start his 3rd year in the fall and he is 18. He seems to be handling the separations better than the older kids!
Now we are looking for a car as my teenage daughter wrecked one and it is getting complicated getting everyone where they need to be!
