It appears my initial blogs have not engendered any interest; so how about my tragic breakthrough into publishing?
Like most unsolicited writers, I went through the demoralising stage of rejection before a publisher was interested in my book: Blood Brothers.
It took eight agonising months before I saw a printed copy, and that overshadowed everything. I had suffered the whims of a copy editor, the impatience of a book designer and the enthusiasm of a publicist. Then suddenly, all the euphoria was dashed when my publisher went into liquidation.
It took almost two years, as a creditor, to finally get my book rights back, although, four years later I still have no rights to the Amazon listing.
I moved on, and eventually another publisher took up my book: Who Goes there? and started the same procedure all over again. On the point of publication, I sadly discovered, lightning can strike the same place twice; I faced another liquidation.
By now I was a lot wiser. I had the final cover and internal files, so I decided to publish myself on Amazon. I now have five books listed.
