The Mars Society will be marking an important milestone this year with the convening of its 20th Annual International Mars Society Convention on the campus of the University of California Irvine, scheduled for September 7-10, 2017.

Held at a short distance from JPL and SpaceX, the four-day international space conference will bring together leading scientists, engineers, aerospace industry representatives, government policymakers and journalists to talk about the latest scientific discoveries, technological advances and political-economic developments that could help pave the way for a human mission to the planet Mars.
