The funny thing is A Living Dungeon was something that just demanded to be written back in April. Normally I'm a very slow writer as I agonize over every chapter. That was not true of Faestari's tale as that story poured from me at a surprising rate over just a few weeks.
And now its my most successful book launch ever. (Lost on Jord still out paces it in sales, but its been out for 30 months.).
I'll be honest I did not have a plan for an immediate sequel. The story was written to be open ended so that I could come back to it when my muse demanded. However, the very positive feedback has definitely got some interest from my muse. I can't promise it will be my next book as there are a couple other tales I'd like to put some time in, but a sequel will happen. More than one actually, as I have ideas for several plot threads.
