Hello All!

It's been a while since my last update here on Goodreads. In my defense, I was busy with medical school. Fortunately, I graduated in May, and now I'm proud to announce the release of my latest book: A Sound in the Dark.

Synopsis:

For Zack Allen, it was supposed to be a chance to get away and relax. A weekend camping trip with a small group of friends seemed like the perfect distraction from a messy personal life, but as Zack and his friends made their way to the camping ground at Drifter’s Folly Memorial Park, he couldn’t shake the feeling something was terribly wrong.

Zack should have listened to his gut, because he and his friends aren’t the only ones in the forest. Someone else is watching—someone with dark intentions. And he wants to play a game...



At its core, this is a story about not giving up. After a personal tragedy, the protagonist is no longer sure life is worth living—until he’s forced to fight to survive against impossible odds.

I wrote this book during my first year of medical school. That first year was very difficult for me, and there were many times when I didn’t think I would make it through. Like my protagonist, I wasn’t even sure it was worth trying. But I didn’t give up, and with God’s help I graduated from medical school this May. So this story has a very special meaning to me.

A Sound in the Dark is a fast-paced thriller full of surprise twists and turns meant to leave you guessing until the final page. It’s about a group of friends who are hunted through a state park by a deranged killer, but there’s so much more to the story than that. I’m very proud of this book. If you enjoyed The Keeper of the Crows, I think this one is even better.
