A new edition of my novel "The Origin of Sorrow" is out today. It's a historical novel set in the 1770s in a Jewish ghetto in Frankfurt. That's where and when the Rothschild family originated, amid the bustle and drama of this walled-in world.
It is my longest, 578 pages of drama, comedy, love and hate. New York Times contributor Robert Lipsyte, author of a dozen books himself, has called "Sorrow" "a masterpiece." Other writers have called it "wonderful" and "monumental."
It should be available at Amazon any hour now.
