Traveling is kind of my jam. Since 2013, I’ve probably racked up at least 3 months of my entire life spent in an airplane! Honestly, I don’t mind too much; airplanes get me to all the amazing places I want to go. Recently, I went on a 10 day trip where I flew from LA to New York, spent a few days in NYC, and then flew from New York to  Barcelona and went on a cruise. Since just launching my clothing line IT’S ALL WILD, I’ve been obsessed with showing off my pieces, especially the Over Everything Dress in Midnight, which is one of my personal favorites! Obviously when you become a designer of anything, even the smallest things! (like, even toilet paper), you want to test out your products to make sure they are awesome and do exactly what you promise them to do. I designed the Over Everything Dress to be warm and cosy, yet comfortable to wear in any situation. I knew it needed to move freely, be a mini dress, but also have enough fabric to keep me toasty. The impossible quest! Basically, the Over Everything Dress needed to feel like a hug from a golden retriever puppy. That we did.

So of course, when we had the dreaded nine hour flight from New York City to London Gatwick (ugh, layovers), I thought it would put the Over Everything Dress to the ultimate test to see if it really did keep me comfortable through such a long period of time! Turns out, the dress did absolutely amazing and I was 110% snug as a bug in a rug the entire flight. I get cold really easily, so it’s nice to know that the dress held up through the sometimes harsh temperature changes that we all know planes go through.

Of course, I had to take some cute pics because I was absolutely feeling my outfit, and to be totally honest, I’d always wanted to take one of those super cool “Yep-I’m-A-Fashion-Blogger-At-The-Airport” photos that I see all the time. I dress like a hobo most of the time that I travel, so this was a very special moment for me. Here’s my perfect airplane outfit! Check the bottom of the post for outfit details.

Have you ever worn a dress on an airplane? Was it scary?? Sounds crazy, but I absolutely dreaded the idea of wearing a dress on an airplane until I made the Over Everything Dress! My legs usually get way too cold to take chances on!
