Free Books

I have a handful of early novels that are back with me after Torquere closed up shop. I was planning to rework them and sell them, which I did with one, Hourglass, but my heart's not in it.

I want to write new books, not revisit old ones.

So my plan is to put the text up at Archive of Our Own, where they can be downloaded in all the usual formats.

The books in question are
Drawing Closer (contemporary BDSM and my first novel ever, though it's more of a novella looking at it now.)
Wild Raspberries
Wintergreen (these are separate books but really they're one story. Contemporary m/m romance)
Spoken from the Heart (a fantasy m/m with a theater setting.)

I hope you enjoy them if they're ones you haven't read yet.

I'll add a link to the GR page of each book when I do the upload and a new blog post; it'll take a couple of weeks since I do want to give them a quick edit at least.

Thank you! I chewed over the best way to do it then had the brainwave of using AO3.

I'll have to mark my calendar. This is very generous of you and not wanting to retread ground is very understandable. ;)

cmbookdiva You're the best! Thank you.

Well, I could've self-pubbed or put a donation button up on my website but it seemed like a good way to give something to the people who've been so kind over the years and might've missed these early works. Or new readers; they've been out of print for a while now.

You're most welcome! Kids go back to school next Tuesday so I'll start then. Won't take long.

It does! Oh God, I opened the first file and I'm aghast. Why did my editor let me get away with those endless sentences? There's a lot of work to do. I haven't looked at these books in years...it's a weird sensation to read them again. Like opening a time capsule or finding a diary from when you were 12, lol.

It's really going to be nice to get them out there again. I hated to think of them being lost and forgotten. Except by the pirate sites ::rolls eyes::

You're welcome! It's mostly pure laziness, lol. Figuring out how to sell them is tricky and this way is easy. Though not so lazy b/c the editing will take a while. But it's kind of fun to tweak them with no pressure, just doing it to suit myself.
