Hi all,
If you're reading this post then you've probably heard or perhaps read my novel? I'm very new to this all, so bear with me in my growing pains.
I love MM romance.
And I wrote this novel about a small Southern town, because, well, whenever I return to my hometown, I'm always a bit surprised by how conservative it still is in terms of LGBTQ issues. Like, stuck in time.
One person informed me that: "You can't talk about gay marriage in the grocery store." Um, really?
And so the idea of Bodine, Alabama was born. A town where even those that are trying to be supportive sometimes say the darnest thing...but they're so well-meaning.
Matt, Bodine College's quarterback, is totally clueless about love. And the world. It was interesting to get into his character's POV that was so deeply rooted in this conservative area, his own stereotypes, and his desperate desire to do the right thing.
Trevor, on the hand, has a seriously dry wit and more cynical view of the world and his fellow Bodine students. But when he meets Matt, he can't help but risk his heart.
I hope you enjoy it.
