It has been the summer from hell. No rain to speak of. Horrific wildfires across Montana and the West. So much smoke that I haven't been able to see my beloved mountains in any clarity in almost eight weeks. Most days, I couldn't see them at all—not even faint outlines—and they're less than ten miles away as the hawks and eagles fly.
