Small Town America, a Lovely Nest Of Corruption and Conflict of Interest

Yes, I live in a small town. It’s small enough we don’t have a single stoplight. Not a single one. But we do have a city council, or what passes for one and we are the county seat, even if cows outnumber the people. When my husband and I bought our house out here, we were looking for calm and quiet. A safe place to raise our kids.

Ironically, this is where we got our car stolen and have had vandalism from local kids. I know this happens in big cities too, it just never happened to us there.
